“MCE was engaged by DTMR North West District in response to the severe flooding during February 2019, later declared as the 19 DRFA events. MCE was engaged April 2019 and provided an accelerated delivery of funding submissions, tender & contract documents and specifications and enabled the delivery of the majority of works by December 2019. This accelerated delivery ensured that essential network assets were rehabilitated, and a resilient road network was provided prior any subsequent wet season.

In all, the delivery program for the 19 event was approximately $45M. MCE engineers compiled submissions remotely from their Rockhampton office whilst liaising, overseeing, and managing a team of local inspectors to provide high-quality damage pick-up in the field. This process increased eligibility and funding obtained from the QRA and ensured an accurate scope of works was provided to the Contractor’s.”
